It is my understanding that retention rates are very high. Further, we need well trained specialists and long-term professionals in today's military -- not short-term draftees. They would just get in the way.

It is Charles Rangel, a liberal democrat from New York, who introduced legislation to reinstate the draft.

How many times do you have to be told, in the face of evidence that points in the exact opposite direction? Are you just a Karrot (Kerry parrot)?
