Kerry made a huge mistake when he voted to give Bush the authority to go to war and then subsequently voted against the $87 billion appropriation bill. He was probably thinking about the fact that one of the reasons that Clinton picked Gore over Kerry in 1992 was the fact that Gore had voted in favor of the Gulf War and Kerry had voted no. Had he voted against the Iraq War and for the appropriation bill - making the point that while he had not been in favor of going to war he was not going to let the troops down - he would have been more consistent with his anti-war history and more viable on the issue. Instead he has been all over the board. Today he gave us another example of his split personality.

If Dean had gotten the nomination, Bush would be up by 20 points and Hillary would be slimming down for 2008.
