| The awarding of his purple hearts was a military decision. Complain to the Navy, and while you're at it, make sure that you complain about every other veteran so honored, especially if he/she has not lost an eye or is not wheel chair bound. My former next door neighbor had schrapnel wounds in his neck. He was awarded a purple heart, too, would you take it away from him? Dole was awarded a purple heart for his first injury - which according to records was minor, later for an injury that put him in the hospital for 39 months. He lost the use of his arm. Those poor guys, none of them wanted to go to Vietnam. I know another person who was not wounded, no purple heart, but who has had chemotherapy every six weeks for the last several years because of Agent Orange contamination. I feel sorry for these people, like Thurman, who have been used. His records show he was injured in the line of duty at the same time, same place as Kerry. He got a medal for his heroism. NOW, he says he was not under fire. How sad is that? I think it's very sad. You may wish for Bush to win. Maybe he will. But Kerry is no traitor, and I think you know that. It just sounds good to you because you can't stand him. I feel that way about Bush sometimes, more so recently. Anyway, I know what you're trying to do, and how strongly you feel about your guy. Even though I think you're wrong, you are very vigilant and diligent and you do provide sites along with your posts. |
