Yes, agreed. Bush has made countless mistakes. But paying the piper can mean more than one thing. In your book, that means cutting our loses and pulling our troops out, which would clearly mean large, very malignant, ripple effects across the Middle East and the rest of the world.

Another way to pay the pipe is to recognize the failure of our policies and commit to stay there until we have fixed what is broken. We simply cannot invade a country, destroy the leadership and then leave before a new, peaceful one is installed. To do that would be an even more colossal mistake than any other Bush has made in the past.

Ketty realizes this and has committed to fix things in a smarter way, without leaving a big mess behind, should he get elected.
