MM, It's because anybody could run a smarter war than Bush.

I thought you believed that withdrawing from Iraq would be a terrible mistake. For you to believe both, you'd have to think that what Bush is doing is worse than, say, what JF wants to do, which is immediate withdrawal.

Or worse than what Kerry is likely going to do, which is drag out the war until our eventual defeat. Already his "plans" assume a lot of things that just aren't going to happen, such as France and Germany helping us out. There's no reason to believe that Kerry will fight a "smarter" war than Bush, but there is reason to believe that Kerry will not have the resolve that Bush demonstrates.
