Well, Haqi, I too am aware of Jesus' name having variations due to language and culture, but it had never created the problem for me such as you have expressed.
As to the AA counseling, I agree that you cannot preach at people from the Bible who come to AA for help. AA is not church and I assume that you have no perogative from AA admin, expressed or implied, to treat it as such. If the alcoholics want church, they would go to one instead of to you for the help that they seek.
Anyway, I appreciate your openness about the source of your own testimony. It is always something I am interested in hearing. I also agree that getting someone to believe in the Bible by dint of their own powers of persuasion is not really possible. For myself, my faith was established by the power of God, and not by the wisdom of man. If man can talk you into it, man can talk you out of it.
