Thanks. Since many here are non-resident CRT owners in addition to posting this on the CRT thread I will post here because this is new.

First is a link from the Canadian Department of Finance from September 16 proposing capping non-resident CRT ownership at 49% starting January 1, 2005 (not 2007).

What do people think? Will this kill the market?

Second, here is how Esprit-the first to convert since this proposal was announced- will deal with the issue. They reserve the right to redeem non-resident shares for cash 'unfettered'.
