Right I know all about utilities but my question was specifically why anyone would need QEMM anyway since its Mainly for DOS apps.

I think a large market are game players, suppossedly qemm lets those
VGA based, yet "win95-compatible" games work better in a dos box.

Afa the claim of %30 speed I will have to check this out. It is hard to believe WIN 95 can be speeded up by %30 with just the addition of QEMM.

Win95 is really stupid about memory management. By default, it prefers to keep buffercache (sorry, disk cache) in memory over paging an application to disk. Also, by default, Win95 appears to let disk cache grow up to close to the size of physical memory. This behaviour can have a terrible effect on performance. Now the savvy Win95 user probably knows what entries to add to their system.ini file to correct this behaviour, but for the vast majority, just buying qemm and having it fix it for you is simpler. Also, it is better for my QDEK shares too...
