Actually, I hate to mention this because they've never advertised with us and were pretty heavy-handed in early attempts to get free advertising, but I'm pretty sure the old charts were a subset of IQCharts.

eSignal was a long-time advertiser currently on hiatus, but I've seen their product and think very highly of it.

And another one definitely more than worth a look is StockCharts. Founded by a former SI'er, and they're providing the index quotes to us on the homepage gratis.

StockCharts and iHub are loosely joined at the hip and the same will be true here eventually. We worked together to ensure that users could post their charts there, which is a feature that'll definitely make its way here.

Bottom line, though, is that if it's a line of business that will cost us a lot of money to be in and isn't part of our core competency (message boards), and the space is already populated by really good players, we're not interested in it.

More importantly, though, which I think a lot of people don't seem to realize, is that we couldn't have brought over charts and portfolios even if we wanted to. If we could've and they wouldn't have been a huge cost, we'd have done it. We couldn't bring them over, at any cost. They're not ours. They were still on loan from InfoSpace and that loan expired nearly a year ago.

Email we could've brought over, but the cost is too high and seems kinda irrelevant on a site that includes private messaging as a feature.
