Maybe you liked the Vietnam War and wanted it to keep going

There is a school of thought that holds that the Vietnam War was prolonged by the protest against it. The earliest opponents tended to be retired military and business types; when the movement was taken over by the flag burners and the Ho Chi Minh groupies, those in the middle were repulsed and reluctantly continued to support the war - along the lines of "If Jerry Rubin and Jane Fonda are against it, I guess I have to be for it."

Regardless, my opinion is less important than that of the hundreds of thousands of vets who felt maligned by Kerry's disingenuous testimony before Congress.
