The PM's you say are missing, were they in your "Trash", by any chance?

If that is where PMs not placed in folders were typically sent after a response, yes.

"Trash" was a very useful tool to me because using it I could backtrack on PMs, recreate the sense of the conversation.

The main way we notified everybody about the upcoming changes, including loss or portfolios, the old charts, and email, was via a PM that was sent to everyone.

I recall that being the case. I must not have had time to read it in detail.

give me more information on the missing PM's. Were they still in your regular Inbox? Meaning you could click Inbox, and they were displayed?

No. All PMs to which I have not yet responded did in fact get imported. Only PMs to which I had responded and which were not placed in folders disappeared. I didn't think of them as "trash" but treasure.

Not whining. I and everyone else who has been caught short by the changes should have read the email.

How many message do you have saved in your Inbox?

A substantial number are in protected folders. They survived.

Is it possible that you've got over 100 messages saved and the ones you think are missing are more than 100 messages ago?

All responded-to PMs not placed in folders are gone.

One last comment on "ignore" function: It previous iteration was terrific. It needs to be brought back in its exact original format. The tenor of discourse on the various forums, particularly the political ones, is going to suffer from posters reading messages from people they can't stand, precipitating uncivil responses and a loss in the quality of the discussions.

Let me congratulate you on doing a great job under difficult circumstances. The transition seems to have gone through seamlessly and without a hitch. I can ony imagine the amount of time and energy you've devoted to the project. Good job.
