They lied about Iraq from beginning to end, why stop now? Especially if it they can tip 51% of the electorate into their camp by telling them what they want to hear, giving them unfunded tax cuts, etc.

This isn't about truth for the politicians. Expect Bush to lie through his teeth with a look of total conviction in the first debate.

And that must might work too.
