What a bizarre thing to want to DO as a writer. Seems like the writer is probably as disturbed as his fiction- what was your impression?

Aside from very politcal statements- like Guernica- I see very little reason why art should be aggressive, and aimed at tearing down the viewer/reader. Perhaps it's a romantic notion, but I think art should entertain or enoble- and making the reader nauseous rarely could have that effect, I would think (except, as I said at the outset, for the very politcal pieces of work- Brave New World and 1984 are kind of sick making to read, especially when you consider large parts of them are coming true...)
