I think we are in agreement that wasteful spending is wasteful.

Tax cuts at a time when spending is going through the roof is not going to help.

The theory of tax cuts stimulating the economy has been shown to be ineffective. I think that growing the debt and adding to it with deficits at an alarming rate is one of the most harmful things we can do. We lose tremendous amount of wealth to interest. And much of the debt we have is serviced by foreigners.

Economic stimulation is best administered to the bottom end of the economy. Those dollars will be spent immediately into the economy and will boost demand and create jobs giving the economy a needed jump start. Eventually a lot of that money will once again end up in the pockets of the rich, since they are the ones that usually own the means of production.

Taxes should be progressive based on income. Spending should be directed towards economic stimulation. And government efficiencies should be monitored, published and directed by our elected officials to make sure that we get the most bang for the buck. Most of all we need to have an attitude of pay as you go with respect to government spending. Reduce deficits. Reduce debt and reduce waste. Our elected officials should be thought of as our CEO's and Chairman of the board of our company...USA Inc. When they perform poorly thay should be put out of office.

That's exactly what the voters of this country need to do with the current majority party...send them packing. They have not kept the trust that we given them.
