I VEHEMENTLY disagree, and we can size the window to any width we want to obtain a comfortable word per line length, or adjust font size or resolution to do the same.

<< That's why you don't see many books that are 2 feet wide >>

But you do see monitors that are, and thank goodness we have more than 8" diagonal today.
