nuclear energy sure is part of the equation, but we also need alternative fuels for cars. Hydrogen and electricity are good ideas here. THey just need development.

Electricity (and potentially hydrogen) are (can be) product of nuclear power plants. As far as alternative energy, I was all for it, if it can be made economically, but I have to say that now I am more hesitant after seeing a big windmill farm in Austria on my last vacation. They really are a huge eye sore, and in a way a pollution to the senses - sense of beauty of the countryside.
