Bob,

thanks for your response.

I've developed software of considerable magnitude. I know what you are facing. I understand the block head mentality of most users; including myself. I do not relish your situation, even if things were going much better. New versions are the devil's own creation. Legacy code and features are always ghosts that haunt the system and user base long after programmers have cut the code from the system.

June 18. Oh. Well you got me there. I thought you'd all gone on vacation, or scrapped the idea. I take responsibility for my lax attitude now that you point out your notice, but would have appreciated a note on friday just the same.

Frankly I just don't like screens that rely on full screen small type face displays. It may be efficient, but it is near impossible to read without a 22 inch screen and a pair of glasses. Particularly if you sit back from the screen about 3 or 4 feet like I do.

I go both for efficiency and simplicity. However is that in the coding or the user aspects of the interface? Full screen small point text may be efficient from a coding point of view but it is not a particularly efficient method for the user. Admittedly I can crank the resolution to its lowest and get text that is more readable, but then I have to crank it back up when I leave the sight. If your text were larger, and had fewer characters across a line then It would be readable at higher resolutions. But this is a problem I have with a lot of recently revised sites. Jamming a lot onto the screen seems to be the new web programming methodology.

As I said before, I wish you all the best. I've seen you handle a lot of different kinds of problems over the years and have a lot of respect for you. I hope you get it all sorted out and come out making a good return on your invested time.
