HBO had a show last year about Carville's consulting firm. It seems to be what used to be called "public relations," and now is variously called "image consulting" and "spin doctoring."

Nothing about substance, it's all about appearances.

There was a cute movie a few years ago, "Wag the Dog," that posited that a sitting president with a sex scandal could start a war in order to evade attention to his personal life, so he hired "spin doctors" to fake a war. Out in Hollywood, they think everything is fake.
