The CDN $ has gained some strength and many rumours abound of its continuing rise. (eg: .82 to .85 by as early as the end of '05)
China purchasing Canadas Noranda gives it 45% of the fourth largest copper mine in the world in Chile through Norandas wholey owned Falconbridge Ltd.
I'm hearing that China may step up to the plate in Canadas oil tar sands and become a major player(investor).
Perhaps Canada is seeing a trend shift here and will slowly see us wean off the USA (85% of exports).
