David,

Intel is buying MSII-III's over the next two years per their contract with SVG. SVGL is in the process of building several new facilities that will allow them to increase capacity significantly. SVGL (the lith side of SVGI) is providing steppers and step-and-scans to several other IC makers including MOT, TXN, AMD and others, a list of which can be found in the SVGI 10-K. INTC, TXN, and MOT all own a 10% interest in SVGL. Last year Intel bought 46% of SVGL's steppers.

And because of its throughput, the ASMLF step-and-scan will be in demand with Asian fabs, particularly DRAM makers moving to .25 um for critical layers, though they are well suited for other applications. The Micrascans are slower but have shown some advantages in line precision, which will be more suited to microprocessor manufacturing. Plenty of business for both companies to thrive.
