rrufff, You have mentioned rites, and procedures, that are a result of human tampering with the worship of God. In the days of Jesus, there were no, particular, methods other than a respectful attitude, to worship God. It is humans, the early Roman Catholic church to be specific, that turned the worship of God into a ceremony of pomp, and circumstance. The fact that they insist that there is a human being, any human being, that is closer to God than any person, is ridiculous, to say the least. Why should a person confess his sins to another human, when all he has to do is pray to God, and ask the main entity for forgiveness. Their attitude against any method to prevent a pregancy, was only a ruse on their followers to help Catholisism gain more membership, so that particular religion could rule the world. It almost got away with it.
A prayer from the heart of the person praying, is much more effective, than using any prescribed ceremony to do so.
Many of the people that profess that they are righteous, are actually the opposite. |
