Thread: Let's not get too excited about todays price action and "Chris". Chris shows up on the COMS thread today will all kinds of TA to "help" us out. Chris has not posted on the COMS thread in at least the last month (personally, I have NEVER seen him here), has a large position in cash, and currently does not own COMS. Personally, I question his motives for joining this discussion at this time. (technical indicator? spread a little FUD? short the stock? go long cheap?) Consensus of 28 analysts suggests %30 growth rate out to 2000 (3COM post #7117). Value Line suggests price appreciation potential of $85-125 in the 2000-2002 time frame. Just two examples of FA that should bode well for long term appreciation. The bottom line is this, long term investors should hang in there. Short term traders should not be relying on someone else for their TA, especially for indications for a LONG term trend, where TA is particularly unreliable. Finally, Chris, I appreciate all inputs on a thread but would have felt a lot better if you had appeared on the 3COM thread in the past instead of just suddenly showing up and telling everyone how bad things are! Most of us longs don't need TA to surmise the short term trend kinda sucks! Good luck! Chris (Anderson, that is!)
