That would be nice. It has been suggested a few times.

King Abdullah was the only one asking, back in 1990, for an Arab coalition to resolve the regional mess ... Look who finally had to step up ... twice now.

Eventually we may end up with something like that via the democratic process but for now the opposing forces (and there are many sub-sets) would rather eliminate each other than cooperate.

For now, it would be great if we could get a Sunni scholar from Mecca to speak against the terrorists and provide a fatawa for the Sunnis that would support the formation of a national government. This 'war' would be over in two weeks.

Like I said, I don't know why that hasn't already happened. Course, its not like they asked me.
