<<< Don't get mad, get even. When people print misinformation, go the other way. It will all have to come out in the end.>>>
You have to understand, the frustrations I felt today had nothing to do with Westell but at being treated like fools by the analysts. Once I realized the GTE references were blatantly false, I was in effect saying, How dare you! If you've got substance, fine, I have no problem with that. But if you think the whole investing public is a bunch of idiots, count me out.
Now, I didn't just wake up spoiling for a fight --- though that would certainly be a safe assumption --- I was told on Friday that whatever was happening later this week warranting the Westell conference call would cause Westell to drop and Amati to go up. So, from the outset I was on my guard. When the Cowen report came out, I thought, Jeez-Louise, here we go again. By the time Soundview's hit, I was on the phone to GTE faster than you can say, "Hype!"
I'm very willing to admit my source may be wrong about Westell's conference call --- now turned into a ribbon-cutting ceremony --- and there may be contracts coming from the other vendors. That's fine. Neither of those have a direct impact on Amati so I don't have contacts the way I do with GTE. I have no reason to. But until I know more, I'll remain a skeptic.
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
But, you're right, it will all have to come out in the end.
Regards,
Pat
