John,

What makes you think that? [we will not kill Al Qaeda members outside of battlefield]

Experience. We tie our hands. We are at war, but we don't fight for all out victory. Another is experience with POWs. We abide by laws of civilized society, and it has worked in the past. But these jihadist POWs (when captured) are very different than anything we have faced before.

And you are saying the US accpets that, but won't accept bombing or shooting al Qaeda terrorists to hell? You know better.

Not the ones willing to surrender. Surrender to the US forces = amnesty and freedom possibly with some delay before they continue their jihad.

Here:
In interviews during his U.S. visit last week, Allawi spoke ominously of foreign jihadists "coming in the hundreds to Iraq." In one interview, he estimated that foreign fighters constituted 30% of insurgent forces.

These guys may not have an Al Qaeda membership card, but they are definitely not peace corps.

Of course they do! Why do you want to oblige them? Just kill the SOB's, don't give them their religious war.

I am telling you, this country is not ready to kill these fanatics in cold blood the same way as they are willing to kill "infidels" in cold blood to the best of their abilities. It may take another 9/11 for us to find the will to do what's necessary, to fight to the best of our abilities (without having one hand tied behind our back).

Joe
