I don't write poetry but here is one I found at my Mother's last week. A good visualization poem, I think.

Butterfly

Like a winging flower
The butterfly drifts by,
Yellow as a daffodil,
softer than a sigh.

The blossom that it lights upon
Doesn't sway at all.
It seems to hold its breath to think
Such beauty's come to call.

And then as gently as it came,
The butterfly takes flight,
And I watch this small enchanter
Until it drifts from sight.
