Now hold on, Salon.com is a very serious journalistic news service. Yes of course they're democrat-biased, but when they do an article it is 100% researched and you can believe everything you read in it. In other words they use multiple sourcing and look at both sides of the story.

I dont read any other democrat news service, but Salon.com I actually pay for because it is so-so good. Its quality of writing it right up there with Time and Newsweek.

They have never been challenged for any of their stories and have broke some big ones. This includes the voter roll scrubbing in Florida which turned out to be absolutely true. No "mainstream" media outlet would touch it.

Salon.com differs completely from Newsmax and other rightwing propaganda sites as newsmax admits they are out for "dirt" and don't care very mucyh how they get it. Drudge is even worse. He will put out wild rumors with no sourcing whatsoever. Newsmax and the other rightwing sites have often been wholly inaccurate, from their pre Iraq invasion scare stories to their reports that war hero Kerry was somehow a "traitor" while AWOL draft-dodger Bush was somehow a "hero". Salon.com meanwhile has sometimes been tough on Kerry and democrats in general. Big difference.
