If that's not enough, look at the policies of the Administration around the world. We certainly are not terribly troubled of the thousands are currently being raped, murdered, or displaced in Darfur

What exactly do you want? We have noticed those troubles, indeed we have forced those troubles to the notice of the UN, which did not want to notice them. The UN is doing what it usually does, nothing. But we're bing good little multilateral boys and girls on that one, having our hands full elsewhere with more pressing problems. We don't feel inclined to do regime change in the Sudan, which is what real progress would take, as you know perfectly well, since the crisis in Darfur is entirely government-engineered.

What is the rule you operate by, it is imperative for the US to charge in unilaterally into other countries to do regime change if and only if we have no interests involved?
