OT: I'm sure that proper use of options to protect a person's position as a hedge is a good idea.

I'm not sure the bubble is something I would ascribe as being Internet stock related only. I think "the bubble" effected stock prices period. I think it still is unwinding but I'm not certain that 20% lower will be enough to fully unwind it. There are still too many bulls.

I do believe that a good portion of the money generated at the peak of the bubble was rotated into other areas such as real estate. I do agree we have a current bubble in real estate in some areas of the country. But I also think that a lot of money has been spent by small investors buying shares from institutions at much higher stock prices than the small investor enjoys now.

Is that money coming back?

Certainly not in most cases.

I would not throw a single dollar at Google but then I don't use it for my searches. I have read enough about it to know small investors are going to get fleeced yet again.

As for investing in the world markets I wonder how you go about this? Individual stocks or ETF's?

I think the world economy is slowing but at some point China will be interesting again to me.

Enough rambling from me...

Thanks for your thoughts.
