It should. Therein lies part of the reason we must occupy Iraq. Iraq wasn't attacked by us because of WMD's. We know they had WMD's because we gave them to them. If we found WMD's, we would have to leave because of "mission accomplished."

Iraq was the center of influence, or center of gravity in military terms, for the Middle East. It is geographically, about as center in the Middle East as you can get. Part of occupying Iraq was to send a message to Saudia Arabia that we are close by and will do whatever it takes to protect American interests. A message that was sent to the rest of the Middle East as well.

Saudia Arabia is going to be a problem down the line, especially when the king dies. There will be a power struggle between the two sons (I can't recall their names off hand, my mememory is slipping with age) and the son that hates us has ties to terrorist organizations.

Thanks for posting the article. Count me as one who is interested in anything you post coming out of that part of the world.
