IMO we are now at a point that the most influential group of folks who will determine the outcome of the elections will be the media. Paula Zahn is on CNN now asking tough questions of the Bush flip flops, showing tapes of these actions on his part. We all agree that the media has given Bush a pass most of the time. Tomorrow night I envision John winning large, even with all of the GOP's constraints on the debates. This regime that Bush has perpetrated on us must end, and the media will not cower any more. John Edwards will defeat Cheney next week, and we here will applaud him. He will deserve our kudos. More and more Republicans are admitting what our true losing position in Iraq is, admitting they have no end game in sight. All the Swiftvet's adds will not put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Bush has been defeated by many more than Americans, he has been laughed at by the majority of the world, laughing at him rather than laughing with him. I hope our gang here will have a happy face tomorrow after the non-debate debate. John has not changed for the worse, Bush has not changed for the better. Our citizens can be distracted for a time, we have a life we have to contend with every day. Jim Lehrer will moderate the first Prez. debate, Charles Gibson and CBS’ Bob Schieffer, will conduct the second and third debates, respectively. I don't see those three allowing Bush to get by with all softballs. Do you? In the end our media will help America to see the difference in these 2 candidates. Sioux
