Rangel thinks a draft will result in sons and daughters of wealthier people serving, resulting in reluctance to put them in harm's way. Actually, it would result in a much less professional and career-oriented military, which is one of our current military's main strengths. We need specialized careerists, not short-term slackers and cannon fodder.
