I have been following rail stocks for some time. I started out in the market as one of my first trades picking wisconsin central at 21 and my broker recommended dumping it around 50. It's split twice since then ;-( I think the market is ripe for some well run outfit like this to make out on spinoffs from the supermergers much like wclx did with the old sooline. I'm hoping their new line purchases in Minnesota realize them some efficiences toward that bottom line. I'm planning on picking some up at around $5. What do you think about investing in rail transportation? What about cp gaining on the conrail splitup?
