I find it incredible that people have the audacity to blame Bush for this energy cost when they never passed his energy bill. Had they passed it and it failed then he would deserve to be criticized, but since they didnt pass it he should get a pass on current situation which is one he inherited. People seem to think there is a magic wand that can be waived and all our energy woes go away. Not so, it will MANY YEARS before we can switch to alternative energy sources, in the interim, we ought to use that which is available to us, including the Anwar reserves which only the Mosquitoes currently enjoy.
I suggest Kerry's immediate solution will be to SIGNIFICANTLY increase federal gas taxes which will cause us to drive LESS hurting our way of life, reducing tourism, raising cost of ALL GOODS as transportation is a basic cost of everything, etc etc. jdn
