<The Rule of law is pretty much a national thing.> That is not true -- we live by the rule of law within our borders and we agree to certain things that have the force of law to create a more peaceful and prosperous world. When we set out to do things that destroy the foundations of the rule of law -- whether within our own country or outside of our country -- we are destroying the foundations of peace and freedom at home and abroad.
