I have just had some trouble expressing myself. I am a political analyst of sorts and i measure all this fp dialogue against political reality. So when someone implys we may have to stay in iraq 40 years to implement democracy, i know this is not serious.
But i also believe the bush folks are overconfident and that the violence we are now seeing in iraq will bite them in the arse if they continue to "speak" with rose colored glasses. There is a need to be candid and it should be used as an insurance policy in case kerry is able to focus the american public back on this admins "mismanagement" of the war. Even if mismanagement is not as great as kerry says or bush admits, the american people at their gut know this is difficulty and not going according to plan right now, particularly in the triangle. We all know the battle of falujah is coming after the election and it most probably will be bloody for iraqi civilians and american and iraqi forces. I am rambling so i will drop it here and hope to see bush at his best tonight. mike
