rrufff, Anyone that commits a crime against an individual, or society as a whole, should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, regardless of religious beliefs. One of the major precepts in every holy book, of all of the religions that I can think of, stress the importance of love, and peace, on Earth. It is true that some of the passages attributed to the Koran, indicate a reason for violence, and murder, but most of the muslims that live around here, are taught that all people of the world must seek peace.
As you point out so well, it is the extremists that cause all the problems, and in many cases, give the entire religion a black eye, even though these extremists are in a very small minority. It has been said that, as long as there are two men, and one woman on the face of the Earth, there will be war. I think that was intended as a joke, but is very close to the truth.
For any religion to try to become the only one on the planet, is beyond the scope of mankind. It will never happen. Such is the nature of man.
Emile is a bitter man with nothing but hate in his heart, and is so insignificant that he is not worthy of any attention from any other human being. |
