Good point - maybe we're simply seeing the effects of the class-action lawsuits. MRK at very least have to warn as soon as they find out the new data.

But it's a bit different from the Redux suits - there you had clear causation. Here, you have a very small increase in the risk of a serious condition or death. Not sure what the increase is, but I'd be surprised if it's as much as 10%. But I guess John Edwards could do a lot with 10% in front of a suitable jury. <g>
