Pretty interesting, Ted, but it has little to do with Rangel's desire to put other's people's children in harm's way just to force more people to be anti-war.

By the way, did you see the movie "Cold Mountain"? The Union wasn't hurting for soldiers nearly as much as the Confederacy. There they had vigilante squads going after any able-bodied man in the South, giving them the choice to either serve or die. This was a far cry from the Union, where (quoting from the article you posted) "the war was fought mainly by volunteers imbued with a sense of moral righteousness probably unprecedented in American military history."

Back to today. Michael Moore is going around college campuses and scaring students into thinking that Bush will call for the draft. Someone ought to call Moore and tell him that the Dems think the draft is a good idea:
