What the writer meant "the West" is not clear to me. And he did not name any country in that paragraph.

Also the "West" now can be divided in two parts according to the war party theory: The "Old Europe" and the "New Europe". So exactly which countries in the "West" or any major country in EU is supporting Israel to attack Iran remains a big question.

The Israeli propaganda machine did not lose any opportunity to woo America and the West to invade Iraq and it's very natural that they would do the same wooing job about attacking Iran today...
