Regardless of who's in office, we don't win this battle. Our nation seems to think that we can fight a politically correct war where you blow up buildings and prevent loss of life. You can't win a war that way.

We lack the courage, as a nation, to make a commitment to fight a war the way a war is supposed to be fought.

Our grandparents were a lot smarter than us. They didn't whine about the loss of life at Normandy. They didn't whine about the loss of life during the Battle of the Bulge. They didn't whine about the loss of life at Iwo Jima. They had the courage to stand firm and fight on until they won.

In my opinion, the lives that have been lost to date are lost in vain as long as we continue these politically correct wars.

When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, we knew what we had to do. When we were attacked in NYC, for some reason, too many Americans didn't know what to do. They didn't want a war. I suppose they wanted us to find the culprits and lock them up in jail.

The military isn't a police force. They are trained to kill people and break things. I think we need to kill a lot more frankly. If some innocent people get killed in the process, that's part of war. Better them than my son or other Americans. If this is unacceptable, then don't go to war. That would be fine with me too. But then there's the question of, "What do you do when foreigners attack and kill our citizens on our soil?"
