<When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, we knew what we had to do. When we were attacked in NYC, for some reason, too many Americans didn't know what to do.>

When the Japanese attacked Pearl, we new what we had to do - the US declared immediate war on Japan. We didn't attack Malaysia and we didn't attack China - Japan was the target.

When Saudi's attacked NYC, the US attacked Afghanstan and then Iraq. To say that any war is a good war and that any war is a blow against the terrorists ignores the basic fact that diversionary wars make US weaker while the true enemy gets stronger.

You prefer to compare the war on terrorism with WWII. I see it more akin to Israel's war with the Palestinians - 55 years old and still going strong. Since we are taking plays from Sharon's playbook, expect similar results.
