I think it was as well, Michael. Kerry had obviously had LOTS of coaching in body language (hand sweeps to heart, and open palms motioning inward, instead of punching the sky with closed fists....etc) Had a very dark blue/black expensive suit with deep red tie...also think he had his hair dyed ...blacker close to the ears and hairline, with the salt and pepper on top left unchanged, except for a brightener added). Because he is tall, the podium seemed to "fit" him, while the podium seemed to "engulf" Bush.

Bush should have worn a red tie as well. His suit wasn't as dark as Kerry's, and his hair is still in that grey/sandy brown/blonde stage, so he needed a bit more definition...

93% of an impression a person makes is NON VERBAL.... I'm sure his advisors told him that. He probably is such a "real guy" that he didn't want to change much of anything as far as what he wears. We'll probably see a change or two next time in that regard.

Liked what Bush had to say, even if he seemed a bit hesitant sometimes. Kerry was obviously much more practiced ...but then again, Kerry isn't running the country. A President has more things to do than just practice. He even helicoptered in to one of the stricken areas of FL to check on the folks in that locale.

He did seem tired a bit. I wonder now if it weren't he had heard about Tony Blair having to have a heart procedure (it shouldn't be dangerous...my hubby had to have that done as well). Also, I think that Bush was really upset about having 34 Iraqi children killed today by the Al-Qaeda insurgents ....plus all the others, including our soldiers killed.

Sometimes I am in awe that we get as good a President as we do, even with their warts and faults. It has to be the hardest job on earth.
