<blame NK> This is such an irresponsible position. We are not talking about a spat among sibblings -- we are talking about the most serious issue we face. Bush has been President for the last four years. During those fours years he directly threatened North Korea and then left the door 100% wide open for them to develop nukes, while steadfastly refusing to do what was needed to even begin to address the issue. He wasted two years insisting on multilateral talks -- we needed bilateral talks in the two years he lost, and we needed them because it was absolutely in OUR interests to do something about North Korea. He did nothing -- NOTHING -- for two years.

Talk to anybody who has flown missions in the region. Ask them about being intercepted by Russians - a day in the park. Ask them about being intercepted by Chinese -- a wave and a nod. Ask them about being intercepte by Vietnam -- their planes can't fly long enough to reach them. Then ask them about being intercepted by North Koreans -- run like hell because they are totally unpredictable. You do NOT threaten North Korea and leave them to their own devices for two years to make nuclear weapons while making silly ideogical jabs. Why? Because it is asking for trouble of the worst kind. And that is exactly what Bush did and that is exactly what we have as a result.
