Democrats Just Pushing Fear; It's All They Have Left!

The great first presidential debate is over. The media have been hyping this first debate for weeks. But the truth is that unless Kerry or Bush stumble as they approach their podiums, crack their skulls, and suffer irreversible brain damage, not a whole lot is going to come from the debates. Most people have made up their minds and view these debates as entertainment, like a stock car race where many people watch just to see a crash. Who will make the first gaff, Bush or Kerry?
What is going on outside the debates is what is important. There can be no doubt now that the Democrats have hit the wall. All stops have been pulled out and liberals don't care if they get caught in lies anymore. They just hope there are enough idiots out there that will believe them and that it will make a difference.
The most blatant lie to hit the airwaves is that two minutes after the networks declare Bush the winner on Election Day, the military draft will be reinstated. Five minutes after Kerry gives his concession speech, black-booted thugs, sent by Rumsfeld, will crash through people's doors and rip any children that have attained the age of 18 out of their beds and whip them on to buses that will carry them off to boot camp.
These bewildered youngsters will be given 20 minutes of training and then they will be rushed off to Iraq, with no weapons or body armor to become cannon fodder for the evil neo-con’s war for oil and world domination. Beware America, it isn't just your sons these horrible people want, no, Bush also wants your daughters! Girls will be added to this new draft. Oh, the horror of it all--if Bush wins.
What Democrats and their able-bodied assistants in the media fail to mention is that it is not the White House, the Pentagon, or Republicans who want the military draft up and running again. It’s the Democrats that seem to be pushing for this new draft.
Democrat Charlie Rangel from New York introduced a bill in January of 2003 to re-instate the draft, this time including women and allowing only for the draftee to graduate from high school. There would be no college deferments. If someone is physically unfit to serve, then he or she would be forced to do community service. Mr. Rangel has support for this bill from some of his liberal friends in Congress.
Rangel believes the draft is needed because only the poor minorities join the military and the rich white kids go to business school. He feels that minorities join out of desperation because they have no other options. After all, why else would one willingly join the U.S. Army or be a Marine? If one believes Charlie, all five branches of the military are filled with morons and idiots. Does anyone believe that an uneducated fool knows how to keep a nuclear submarine functioning or fly an F-18 fighter jet? Have you seen the high-tech equipment in our tanks? Our men and women in the military are not stupid and they are there because they choose to be there. That is vital for a strong military.
One must understand some basic facts about liberals. First, they have an ingrained dislike and distrust of the military. Many feel in their hearts that if America was not such a military power in the world we would not be targets for people like Bin Laden and Europe would like us again. Leftists don't believe in war for any reason. Any enemy can be reasoned with or bought off, whichever is the most expedient. With that mindset, far-left Democrats see no reason for a military at all. Think of the money the leftists could spend on massive social programs if they didn't have to feed, house, equip and train a large standing military. A small military, combined with the state guard units would suffice. All we really need is enough power to repel the Canadians, should they suddenly become aggressive and decide to rampage down from the North. Anything more than that is a waste of money. America should rely on the United Nations for protection from our enemies.
What is truly frightening about all this, however silly it may sound, is that the new ''progressive'' movement believes this with every fiber of their being. Diplomacy is the answer to all problems and actually defending the American way of life is never an option. It is this side of the Democrat Party that is taking control. John Kerry is a perfect example of one of these new progressives who will rely on the United Nations, and he seems openly embarrassed that America is the only remaining super power. The old guard of the Democrat Party, those that think like Joe Lieberman, have been pushed aside. The new breed is in control now.
The new Democrat Party believes that America cannot win a war, any war, without our ''allies.'' Whenever someone like Kerry makes that statement, he is referring in particular to France and Germany. For some obscure reason, leftists seem to think the old Europe is all-wise and all-knowing. The deals made with Saddam by the French and Germans right up to the start of the war and the corrupt ''oil for food'' program involving the United Nations are ignored.
Both of these so-called friends catered to Saddam and in fact, Saddam Hussein was a good and close friend of French President Chirac. The ''friends'' whose guidance the left cannot live without, were making billions off the blood of the Iraqi people. The very reason France and Germany do not support the United States now is punishment for removing a good friend and a great source of wealth. The only carrot that will bring these ''allies'' into Iraq with assistance is the promise that they will have the right to rape the Iraqi people again and steal their oil and wealth by controlling them.
The draft, starving the elderly, denying health care to the poor, polluting the air and water to the point where humans could walk on both are just a few of the last ditch efforts from the Democrats to try and win this election. They push fear. It's all they have left. |
