Liberal Larry comments on Kerry's no bunker-buster policy:

John Kerry touched on something last night that I hope he really drives home in the next debates. When Lehrer asked Kerry what he thought was the single most dangerous threat against the United States, he answered without a moment's hesitation: Nuclear proliferation. Nuclear weapons in the hands of rogue states is the gravest danger of our times, he said, and the keystone of his presidency will be to see that United States is disarmed as soon as possible. So called "Bunker-busting bombs" aren't only a threat to peaceful bunker-dwelling peoples, but set a bad example to countries like Iran and North Korea. How are we supposed to sit down at the table with these nations and beg them to disarm when we stubbornly refuse to do so ourselves?

With the help of our allies, President John Kerry will cooperate fully with U.N. weapons inspectors to insure that America no longer has the cability to harm its neighbors. Once we've cleansed ourselves of the sin of nuclear proliferation, then we can throw stones at others. That's how Jimmy Carter won the Cold War, and that's how John Kerry will win the War on Terror.
