But either way, he'll have handed over a huge victory to the terrorists. There are nearly no Al Qaeda in Iraq. Bush, et. al. like to play fast and loose with language. Al Qaeda is a threat. The Iraqis only want us out of their country. These are different groups. Terrorism is a tactic used by several groups. It is much more accurate to use the term "asymetrical warfare" when talking about the events in Iraq. It is likely that the U.S. is going to just have to try to get out of Iraq as gracefully as it can. Such an action can only help the war against Al Qaeda. It would not be a good policy to leave Iraq in such a state that Al Qaeda could enter and become a viable force in the country. TP
