I called and spoke briefly to Don Patten at 561-852-6143 on Wednesday. He answered the phone himself so they aren't burdened by such amenities as secretaries. It all seems very shaky to me. He said a new Nasdaq symbol is in the works, but he didn't know what it was going to be. Asked him to send each shareholder four cigars. I know how far that will get.
I've had this stock since PWPH @ 2.20 per, so i'm really kind of leary of anything that comes down the pike now. My 4100 shares are not going to make or break me, but it really galls me to know what a total ass I am for getting into it in the first place.
A little pressure from us may break loose some decent info. Looking forward to other holders experience. And hey! I even have a profile!!! Bill H.

Besides not having any secretaries one can say that there is no office either. Since when I called, his kid answered the phone. Unless there is more info than some vague promo stuff about jumping on the cigar bandwagon this stock will soon be fulfilling earlier predictions of 9 cents - BayStock

So do I feel that i have been had.... There is an attorney named Jay Dunasi (unsure of the spelling of his last name) from Milberg, Weiss etc.. that i contacted regarding possible fraud in the releases of TMC Agroworld and questioning whether a class action lawsuit is possible.. his number is 800-348-6192. I whole heartedly feel that i was had. I also want to include the possible SEC to investigate Neufeld, as he was promoting (remember ... PR guy) the company. If anyone has any posts saved from the company, press releases, etc.. please e-mail them to me. I am not really sure what, if anything, can be done at this time... but want to investigate this further... This has taught me a lesson i will never repeat.. i mean never... but would like to possibly recover just some of my HUGE loss... thanks...

Hey Sniko ... I lost here and it hurts too , but youre a baby. This is a risky game at this level. You have to provide your own insurance. I have no grudge againt those who have profited with this , because I had the chance and didnt take it ,, got suckered in , but thats the way it goes. The new ceo sounds good so far and that is a PLUS.
Subj: Dominican Cigar Company Date: 97-08-24 13:50:20 EDT From: DavesLexus
The cigar boom started in 1992, and according to Cigar Aficianado, most analyst thought it would have a three year run. Well,. in 1996 there were 298 million cigars imported into the USA , mostly from Domican Republic and Hondorus, and that was a record breaking year.
Well, according to Cigar Aficianado, the USA is on track to import nearly 600 million cigars in 1997. This "cigar thing" seems to be on a long run, and this company could be well positioned to get part of all this action.
Look, no one enjoyed what happened with TMC, but this sure looks better than before. They have consumated the Adolpho deal, and there are other marketing plans we will all like. Yes, it will take some time, but we were heading for complete collapse if changes were not made.
What we need to see now are cigar sales ( and profits) then we will see some positive movement with this stock.

I don't like losing on any stocks.. but to be HAD by a company is not acceptable. It appears that there were some actions being consumated behind the scenes that the stockholders were not aware of, all the while the shareholders were being lied to. Also the announcements made by the company without any Safe Harbors Notice is FRAUD. Do what you like....but i am not going to be sitting and waiting to get screwed again....

Sure the Cigar market may be real and growing, but that may not stop TACN from going to under a dime. Earlier the beef market was real but Santa Elena wasn't. Right now TACN has no credibility. If the share price drops back below 35 cents that will be an indication that this stock is still all smoke and mirrors. - BayStock

I just spoke to Don Platten, who is the CEO of Dominican Cigar Company. They are up to great things, and potential for this company is really looking up.. Obviously, the Adolpho deal has been consumated...they have product shipping...and this is a very high profit margin business (47%GPM). They just purchased a second factory and a new receiving center in The Dominican Republic.
If you are a skeptic, Mr. Platten will take you on a guided tour of the factory ( and farms) in the Dominican Republic. You pay your air fare there and the company will pay the rest of your expenses.
He wants to hear from anyone that has questions regarding the company, himself, marketing plans, etc. You can e mail him at: dplat59629@AOL.COM
This company has the the materials to make a lot of cigars. They know this business and no question they have great marketing ideas.

The email address is DPlat59629 with one T. And for the first time from TACN, PWPH or any other form of this company, I actually got a reply to my e-mail. Good sign.

Well, after hearing of stories of Urea, Argentinian steaks, Orange Juice, Bananas, Lumber, and heaven knows what else, here sits next to my computer a box of Don Carlo cigars. Yes, a product that is as tangible as anything. I also might add that I am currently participating in the degradation of my lung capacity as we speak and it is a nice feeling. I will keep the rest for the Range Rover party if we ever have one. But, I must admit, there is a product, from where it came could be any number of things, but at least after all is said and done with this investment in PWPH/TACN is that I have one fine box of cigars. No waiting for funding I hope, but just an opportunity to sell some cigars from a public company.
Good luck all, we have the product, now lets get the company rolling.
Still cynical about it all, but have some cigars that will cover my losses :)
Good luck all.

So how'd you get the cigars?? Are they free for shareholders??
Then give me about 500 boxes, so maybe I'll be at break even.

Glad everyone still has a sense of humor. Great posts PD Green and Peter Ike. I have been impressed with Don Platten. This company is for real. It is a very good product and in a business that is the hottest thing going. These people have inventory...some very nice deals working.... and they are very careful with the money.
Revenues and profits is the name of the game. Let's give them the chance to put it together!
