Further, as I posted, I do know much about the JFK conspiracy theories and there is no credible strain that points to Israel. Lansky was a criminal and deserved capital punishment. Is it possible that Giancana said something to him about the plans? You can stretch it all you want. The fact is that the conspiracy was so well planned and executed that, to this day, there is no smoking gun and likely will never be proved. Pretty amazing given how things generally seem to come to light. Irrespective of that, no credible conspiracy theorist links Israel or proclaims that it is a Jewish plot. You certainly know that you can take any world event and you will find nuts on the internet who will claim that "the Jews did it." This is true about 9/11 to the bombing 2 days ago in Pakistan. These are insane musing that need to be attacked by rationale humans before they are allowed to fester and lead to a 2d Holocaust. That is why you are attacked!
Debating JFK's murder is not the reason for my post.
The reason is that by your proliferating an article that proclaims that Jews did it or that Israel was behind this murder only furthers hatred for Jews. That is the sole purpose of the author. He knows that his article has no proof. Anyone who furthers those ends is as bad as the author as a fomenter of hatred and prejudice.
It would be akin to my posting over and over that gays spread AIDS by shaking hands and that a noted web blogger has advocated isolating them. Don't you think that would lead to more homophobia and outright violence? I haven't googled it yet but there has to be some insane blogger out there who has said this. I'm not sure if they have computers in KKK land but one of David Duke's discliples has got to have written something about killing gays before AIDS spreads to "white people." If you are a man of peace, I suggest that you review your posting history and be less a person who paints everyone with a broad brush.
This business of calling everyone a neocon by those who used to be Democrats is as bad as former Republicans calling Kerry supporters anti-patriotic. What is gained by fomenting hatred?
So long as people like you post hatred, there will be severe reactions by others. If you like that, fine. Personally, I will continue to attack those who foment hatred both online and in the real world, whether that be hatred of gays, Jews, native Americans, Asians or African Americans.
We can differ with respect to ideas but painting everyone with a broad brush and hiding behind the hatred that results is truly cowardice. The Jew haters who proclaim that they love Jews but hate Israel because it is a fascist neo nazi nation are just Jew haters with a good paint brush to hide as cowards. Most Israelis, in fact, the vast majority IMO would not vote for Sharon if there is a real peace. During most of Israel's existence, the Labor party controlled. Israelis are reacting just as Americans did after 9/11 and Israel suffers an equivalent 9/11 on a monthly basis. Without meaning any disrespect for my Bush supporting friends, as I am truly undecided at this point, I can't imagine that the President would be close in the polls if it had not been for 9/11. That is my personal assessment of the candidate only and not my assessment of his platform if he truly has one. I just do not think he is a good candidate. As bad a candidate as Kerry is, he is far more "presidential" than Bush. Yet, with the post 9/11 mentality, there is a good chance I would vote for Bush. Thus, Israel does what it can to survive, voting for the party and leader it perceives will be toughest on the terrorists, and who shows it as recently as today with the latest raids to weed out the cowardly terrorist nests in Gaza.
Your broad brush conspiracy theories and pasting of articles 50 years ago about a "greater Israel" is merely a furtherance of hatred with outmoded and irrelevant ideas. The idea of a "greater Israel" is not something that would be realistically supported by any more than extreme minorities of Jews around the world or Israelis. It has no more relevance than a dream I had that I was a billionaire and that Christie Brinkley was knocking on my door. (Perhaps I am Billy Joel?).
The fact is that most Israelis and the support Israel gets from Jews around the world is based on survival and the avoidance of another Holocaust. Other than extreme Christian believers, who I do not understand at all, and extreme Jewish religious nuts, there is no support for believing Israel will ever be an area greater than its current geography with adjustments to defensible borders. Israelis, the vast majority, do not believe that they will control Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, etc. They are afraid and should be given the history of tyrants wishing and proclaiming that they will "drive them into the sea," and desiring another Holocaust. Wishing those people gone is not the same as defending one's existence and you know it!
If some of you extremists would truly "get religion" and preach "peace" and try to get reasonable proposals laced with reality, there would be a hellova lot less hatred in both the real world and the internet. |
