I think the debate itself was the most important event though it will now be spun to death by both sides.

In this day and age I think what Kerry accomplished was important. He projected a strong image - the exact opposite of how the opposition tries to portray him.

Bush's fidgety frowning simply didn't look good - no matter what he said.

However as these things go - if you liked Bush already then he said all the right things.
